Job summary

Christchurch Casino is seeking a Security & Customer Care Officer to deliver exceptional service while maintaining a secure environment. The role covers guest assistance, entry screening, crowd control, roving patrols and basic first aid, across both full-time and part-time shifts.

You will work within a licensed venue, require a COA or be working towards it, and demonstrate integrity, reliability, and the ability to act calmly under pressure. Training and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid NZ COA or working toward it is preferred.
• Previous door security experience is advantageous.
• Experience in conflict resolution, tact, diplomacy and negotiating skills.
• Must have integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.
• Valid First Aid certificate would be an advantage.
• Be at least 20 years old and legally allowed to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Provide security, support and protection for guests, employees and property.
• Carry out entry screening, crowd control and roving patrols.
• Administer basic first aid when required.
• Respond professionally under pressure.
• Work across opening hours including nights and weekends.
