Red Badge Group is seeking customer-focused individuals to join our Christchurch Event Security team on a casual basis. Protect the excitement of live entertainment, sports, and community events while delivering positive experiences for attendees.

You will hold a NZ COA security licence, be reliable, and available for evenings, weekends and public holidays. Enjoy competitive weekly pay and opportunities to grow within a supportive, inclusive team at iconic venues such as the new One NZ stadium.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, approachable service to all event guests, organisers, and stakeholders.
• Monitor venue environments and take prompt action where risks or incidents arise.
• Conduct bag checks, security screening, and validate tickets or accreditation as required.
• Assist with crowd control and safe movement of people through event spaces.
• Manage vehicle and gate access according to established procedures.
• Provide clear, calm communication to resolve or de-escalate situations.
• Contribute positively to the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of every event.
• Represent Red Badge Group’s standards and values at all times.

This role requires a COA (Certificate of Approval) Security Licence

About the role:

• – Deliver friendly, approachable service to all event guests, organisers, and stakeholders
• – Monitor venue environments and take prompt action where risks or incidents arise
• – Conduct bag checks, security screening, and validate tickets or accreditation as required
• – Assist with crowd control and safe movement of people through event spaces
• – Manage vehicle and gate access according to established procedures
• – Provide clear, calm communication to resolve or de-escalate situations
• – Contribute positively to the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of every event
• – Represent Red Badge Group’s standards and values at all times

Key Requirements:

• – Hold a current NZ COA (Certificate of Approval) security licence
• – Clean criminal conviction record
• – Previous experience in security, hospitality, customer service, or a similar field is an advantage
• – Flexible availability – including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• – Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a minimum age of 18 years
