Job summary

Armourguard in Christchurch is seeking reliable, professional Casual Security Officers to join our dedicated team. You will protect people, property and communities while delivering high standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service.

If you hold NZ security unit standards 27364, 27360, 27361 and are eligible for vetting, you can work weekend afternoons, nights, and occasional short-notice shifts. A valid driver’s license and COA may be required depending on site.

You will provide high-quality security services to our clients while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and customer service. All duties will be carried out in accordance with operational procedures, company policies, and industry best practices.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Hold relevant NZ security unit standards (27364, 27360,27361) and be eligible for vetting clearance.
• Proven experience in security, customer service or service-oriented role.
• Articulate with strong written and spoken English skills, including clear communication and accurate incident reporting.
• Reliable, professional and detail focused with ability to work independently under pressure
• Flexible, well-presented and customer focused with a strong understanding of health and safety requirements.

Mandatory Requirements:

• To progress through the recruitment process, you must consent to and be able to satisfy pre-employment checks, including:
• Driver’s License, Credit Checks, Ministry of Justice Criminal History and Immigration checks.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand and currently reside in the Christchurch region
• Hold or has the ability to obtain a current Certificate of Approval (COA)
