Job summary

Red Stag Timber in Rotorua operates New Zealand’s largest producing sawmill. We are seeking a motivated team member to join our Secondary Processing team on a permanent basis.

The role is 40 hours per week, on a 4 x 10 hour shift pattern from Monday to Thursday, with shifts from 5:00am to 3:40pm. You will contribute to safe operation of timber processing equipment, manual handling, stacking, wrapping and labeling timber, and stock control in a physically demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding work.
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Pre-employment Medical & Drug Screening will apply.

Join the team operating New Zealand’s largest producing Sawmill site! An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and reliable team member to join our Secondary Processing team on a permanent basis. This role will work 40 hours/week working 4 x 10 hour shifts, Monday to Thursday from 5.00am to 3.40pm.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of timber processing equipment and general yard teamwork, involving a variety of rotational duties such as:
• Timber stacking / manual handling
• Wrapping & Strapping timber packets
• Safe Machine Operation
• Recording & labelling of stock
• 8T Fork operation (when qualified)

Due to the physical nature of this work, an excellent level of fitness and personal health is required. Previous experience in a similar role and holding a current forklift license would be an advantage. However, a hardworking and reliable team player who can demonstrate a Can-do and Safety-first attitude is essential.
