An opportunity has arisen for a full time Trades Assistant / Hot Work Permit Issuer to join our Maintenance team on the weekend shift working Friday to Monday 6.00am – 4.30pm. Additional hours may be required during busy periods with rostered weekday shift hours during the Maintenance shut periods.
This hands-on role works alongside our Weekend Shift Maintenance Tradespeople and Mechanical contractors assisting with a range of heavy industrial maintenance work. The role also includes issue of hot work permits and undertaking fire watch, preventative maintenance, machinery greasing and light maintenance work. Operation of a roto-telehandler will also form part of the role as backup for the primary operator.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience operating mobile plant, preferably within a construction or heavy industrial environment. Experience with hot work processes and permit issuing would be an advantage.
