Job summary

Birkenhead Primary School in Auckland is seeking dedicated teachers for a permanent role in Phase 2 (Years 4 to 6). You will join a high‑functioning, collaborative teaching environment and work with two other teachers in your phase.

The successful candidate will have a child‑centred approach, a growth mindset, and be keen to participate in curriculum leadership opportunities. Shortlisting and interviews will occur throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher with current teaching registration.
• Ability to work effectively in a Phase 2 team with multiple teachers.
• Willingness to engage in curriculum leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Teach across Years 4–6 in a primary/intermediate setting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver integrated learning.
• Build strong relationships with tamariki and whānau and contribute to school culture.

Birkenhead Primary School is seeking dedicated, collegial, and child-centered teachers to join our wonderful team in 2027 for a permanent position in Phase 2(Years 4 to 6).

The successful candidate will join one of our Phase 2 teams where you’ll work alongside two other teachers, so flexibility and strong collaboration skills are essential.
