Job summary

Waipukurau School in the Hawke's Bay invites applications from energetic, approachable teachers for the junior or middle syndicate. Position commences Term 1, 2027 or negotiable, with potential for an additional unit.

The successful applicant will be a strong communicator, able to teach across Years 1–8, and work collaboratively with staff and whānau to foster wellbeing and engaging learning in a future-focused school.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with NZ registration.
• Experience teaching Years 1–8.
• Ability to teach across the full primary to intermediate range.
• Strong vision for student development and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons across the curriculum for Years 1–8.
• Collaborate with staff and whānau to support student learning.
• Lead by example and coach students through lessons.
• Support student wellbeing and pastoral care.
• Possibly take on an additional teaching unit.
