Job summary

Southwell School in Hamilton is seeking a passionate Scale A teacher to design and deliver engaging learning programmes for Years 1–8, aligned with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.

You will integrate digital technology, inquiry-based learning, and structured literacy; support wellbeing, resilience, and student agency; collaborate with colleagues and families; and contribute to co-curricular activities, including coaching sports.

Qualifications

• Current New Zealand teacher registration and practicing certificate.
• Proven strength in one or more areas: inquiry learning, numeracy, structured literacy, digital technology, PE, performing arts, or science.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a co-educational setting and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Willingness to contribute to extracurricular life, including coaching sports.
