Job summary

Kōwhai Intermediate in Auckland is seeking a passionate Certificated teacher to join our whānau for Years 1–8. You will foster strong relationships with students and whānau, deliver engaging literacy and numeracy programmes, and contribute to a learning environment grounded in belonging.

Ideally, you bring a commitment to culturally responsive practice, a positive, can-do attitude, and humour. Start date: 25 January 2027.

• Experience delivering structured literacy and numeracy programmes; PLD preferred.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join the Kōwhai Intermediate whānau. Start date: 25th January 2027

Ideally, you will bring:

• A proven ability to build strong, positive relationships with students and whānau.
• A commitment to culturally responsive practice and a genuine value for diversity.
• Experience delivering structured, engaging literacy and numeracy programmes. (Completion of some or all Structured Literacy PLD is preferred).
• The ability to maintain high standards while prioritising student wellbeing and belonging.
• A positive, "can-do" attitude and a sense of humour
