Key responsibilities

• Curriculum leadership: Design and deliver engaging, knowledge-rich Science learning spanning physical, material, biological, and earth/space systems aligned with Phase 3 (Years 7–8) of the refreshed NZ Curriculum (Tāhūrangi).
• Practical learning: Lead hands‑on inquiry, lab safety, and data analysis in our fully‑equipped, purpose‑built facility.
• Localised contexts: Weave authentic local South Auckland contexts and mātauranga Māori into practical science learning.

We are seeking someone who:

• holds current NZ Teacher Registration with a passion for Year 7–8 learners
• brings a strong background or passion for scientific investigation
• embeds culturally responsive practices honoring Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• builds warm, relational connections and contributes to STEAM or co‑curricular life.
