Job summary

Precision Sourcing in Wellington, New Zealand, is seeking a Senior SAP Solution Architect for a 6‑month rolling contract with strong extension potential. Based in Wellington, you will lead the SAP S/4HANA architecture and drive end-to-end solution design within a large programme team.

You will mentor delivery teams, shape architecture across multiple lines of business, and ensure clean core principles, performance, and integration. NZ-based with security clearances advantageous.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of SAP experience and at least 5+ years as a Solution Architect.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture and full lifecycle implementations.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.

Wellington, New Zealand 6-Month Rolling Contract (with strong likelihood of extension)

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Solution Architect to play a key role in a major, multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation programme for a large New Zealand organisation.

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape and deliver a complex enterprise-wide SAP implementation within a large programme team (100+ resources). The successful candidate will be based in Wellington.

About the Role

You will provide senior architectural leadership and strategic direction for the S/4HANA solution design, ensuring best-practice implementation, integration, and alignment with business objectives across multiple lines of business. This is a hands‑on architect role within a large-scale transformation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA, including blueprinting, design, and governance.
• Provide expert guidance across the full project lifecycle (greenfield/brownfield elements).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, and delivery partners to translate complex requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Support RFP/proposal development and client advisory activities.
• Ensure architectural integrity, performance, scalability, and adherence to clean core principles.
• Mentor and guide the broader programme team on S/4HANA best practices.
• Work closely with integration, data, and change management streams.

About you:

• Citizenship: Must be a New Zealand or Australian citizen (required for this role).
• Location: Must be based in Wellington, New Zealand (no remote).
• 15+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5+ years working as a Solution Architect.
• Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA architecture and full lifecycle implementations.
• Proven track record on large-scale enterprise transformation programmes.
• Strong experience supporting RFPs, complex proposals, and senior client advisory.
• Desirable industry background in Defence, airlines, logistics, shipping, or large infrastructure.
• Security clearance eligibility (or ability to obtain) is highly regarded.
