Job summary

RWA People is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to lead senior SAP Basis activities within a large-scale transformation programme in New Zealand. You will own SAP Basis across multiple environments and work with internal teams to ensure a stable, secure and available SAP landscape.

The role requires hands-on expertise in SAP Basis administration, migration and integration, with the ability to hit the ground running in a senior consulting capacity across a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level SAP Basis support across the programme.

• Perform system administration, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Support SAP installations, upgrades, patches, transports and system refreshes.
• Monitor system performance, availability and capacity.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and incidents.
• Work closely with SAP functional, infrastructure, security and project teams.
• Support system connectivity and integration across multiple environments.
• Contribute to technical planning, documentation and migration activities.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Ensure environments are maintained in line with operational, security and performance requirements.

As part of this programme, they are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant who can step in quickly and provide senior-level technical expertise across a complex SAP environment.

This is a high-profile programme where your experience will be critical in ensuring SAP environments are stable, secure, available and ready to support the wider migration and integration activities.

About the Role You will take ownership of SAP Basis activities across the programme, working closely with internal teams, project stakeholders and technical specialists to ensure successful delivery.

This role will suit a hands-on senior SAP Basis professional who is comfortable operating in a large, complex environment and can hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time.

About You

We are looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant with a strong background in enterprise SAP environments and large-scale transformation programmes.

You will ideally bring:

• Strong commercial experience in SAP Basis administration and support.
• Proven experience working on SAP migration, integration or transformation programmes.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex technical activities.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.
• Experience working across multiple SAP environments.
• Good understanding of SAP system architecture, transports, upgrades, patching and performance management.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience working within large, complex organisations.
• The ability to hit the ground running in a senior consulting capacity.

Experience within large-scale programmes, mergers, acquisitions or environments involving the integration of multiple companies would be highly advantageous.
