Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking three Technicians for the Sample Reception department to cover the upcoming Dairy Season. These roles are fixed-term for 6–9 months, based at Lynfield Laboratory, with shifts 6am–8:30pm and weekends on rosters.

You will unpack samples, register them in LIMS, monitor temperatures, and perform subsampling with aseptic techniques in a large-scale food testing lab in the Southern Hemisphere.

• Experience in a fast-paced environment with attention to quality procedures.
• Good eye for detail and ability to learn on the job.
• Able to thrive in a regulated and busy laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Unpacking samples and checking integrity on arrival.
• Registering samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Maintaining temperature and training records up to date.
• Applying aseptic techniques for subsampling processes.
