Edwards and Hardy Roofing in Manukau City, North Island, is seeking a new sales trainee to develop skills in door knocking, cold calling, and customer follow-up. You will learn our residential products, prepare quotations, and contribute to sales targets with support from the Sales Manager.

The successful candidate will be energetic, confident, and motivated to learn. Full training is provided, with a base salary plus generous commission, phone and company car for business use.

Qualifications

• Entry-level sales role with full training provided.

• Must hold a valid New Zealand driver's licence and right to work in NZ; 12 months sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

The role is primarily focused on generating straightforward residential sales opportunities through door knocking, cold calling and following up prospective customers.

What you will be doing:

• Door knocking and cold calling within an assigned residential territory
• Identifying prospective residential customers and generating sales opportunities
• Following up prospective and existing customers
• Explaining our standard residential products and services using company-provided product information
• Preparing standard quotations using approved company pricing and processes
• Maintaining accurate customer and sales information
• Referring technical, commercial or non-standard customer requirements to senior or technical team members
• Working towards agreed sales targets with the support of the Sales Manager and wider sales team

This is a full-time salaried position, 40 hours of work per week guaranteed. Because the role involves talking to homeowners, these hours will often be worked outside of normal business hours, so flexibility and good time management are important.

You will be provided with a phone, iPad, uniform, and company car for business purposes. In addition, you will be rewarded with a competitive base salary and generous commission opportunities. Full training will be provided.
