Job summary

Bremca in Christchurch, New Zealand is seeking an engineering graduate to take on a technical sales engineering role within our automation business. This is a hands-on start to your engineering career in the industrial control and 3 Waters automation space, with mentoring across a diverse team.

Reporting to the General Manager of Sales, you will develop both commercial and technical capabilities while engaging with external stakeholders and contributing to tender documentation and proposals.

Qualifications

• Must hold Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering degree.
• Basic knowledge of automation logic, hardware and software.
• Desire to learn automation and to sell capabilities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical reviews of project specifications, products and standards.
• Prepare take-offs and tender/submission documentation.
• Develop technical content for proposals and sales.
• Support sales team in engagements with industry stakeholders.

BREMCA, New Zealand’s leader for switchboard, switchgear & automation solutions, is looking for an engineering graduate to take on a technical sales engineering role within our automation business based in Christchurch.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to kick start their engineering career in a rapidly growing business in the industrial control and 3 Waters automation space.

Reporting to the General Manager of Sales, you will be supported and mentored within our diverse and experienced team which spans electrical, manufacturing and automation sales -advancing both your commercial and technical capabilities.

The key tasks of the role will include:

• Technical reviews of project specifications, products, standards and compliance
• Take-offs and the compiling of documentation for formal tenders and submissions
• Developing technical content for proposals and sales
• Supporting the sales team in engagements with key industry stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant electrical, mechanical or mechatronics engineering degree
• Basic knowledge and understanding of automation logic, hardware & software
• A desire to both learn automation and to sell our capabilities and services
• Confidence and be self-motivated to engage with our external stakeholders
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proficiency in the use of digital technology and Microsoft Office 365 products
• Specific training will be provided for our automation platforms, along with our internal Bremca standards, processes and sales tools.
