Job summary

Qjumpers is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our People & Safety team at our Port Chalmers head office in Dunedin. This permanent full-time role blends on-site work with coordination across safety systems, processes and people in a busy 24/7 port.

Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will moderate incident reports, track safety actions, run inspections, assist with pre-qualification assessments, prepare meeting packs, and support Safe Systems of Work while building strong relationships

Qualifications

• Health and safety experience in an operational environment.
• NZ Certificate in Workplace Health and Safety Practice (L3 or L4) preferred.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Moderate incident reports and critical control checks and support investigations.
• Track and close out safety actions and support inspections/audits.
• Prepare meeting packs and minutes for Health & Safety activities.
• Support Safe Systems of Work (JSAs and Permit to Work) and use of Safety Management System.
• Support reporting, SharePoint, SOPs and improvement projects.
