Job summary

Franklin Vets in New Zealand is seeking a commercially minded Rural Sales Representative to drive growth across our rural clinics. You’ll work with veterinarians, technicians and customer service teams to grow rural sales and deliver value for farming clients and our business.

You’ll visit farms, build relationships with key farming clients, and help develop local sales strategies with branch managers. This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a real difference for farmers

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in agribusiness, animal health, rural retail or business development.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Grow rural product sales through proactive client engagement and farm visits.
• Coach and support clinic teams to build confidence in animal health products and commercial conversations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key farming clients.
• Work alongside Branch Managers to identify sales opportunities and develop local sales strategies.
• Support seasonal marketing campaigns, field days, client events and community initiatives.
• Provide sales reporting and commercial insights to support business decisions.
• Work with clinic teams to optimise inventory, merchandising and product availability.

We're looking for a commercially minded Rural Sales Representative to join our team and help drive growth across our rural clinics. This is more than a sales role. You’ll work alongside our veterinarians, technicians, and customer service teams to grow rural sales, strengthen client relationships, build capability and identify opportunities that deliver value for our farming clients and our business.

What you'll be doing:

You'll be someone who enjoys working with people just as much as products. You understand farming, are commercially minded and love helping others succeed.

You'll bring:

• An Agribusiness qualification (or similar) or relevant rural industry experience.
• Experience in agribusiness, animal health, rural retail or business development
• A passion for agriculture and animal health
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with excellent organisational skills
• The ability to influence, coach and support others
• A current full driver's licence.
