Job summary

Franklin Vets in Pukekohe is seeking a friendly Customer Service professional to join our rural-focused team. You’ll help clients get the products, services and support they need, both in person and over the phone, while assisting with stock and daily clinic operations.

Ideally, you have experience in farming or the rural sector and are comfortable working weekdays and some Saturdays. You’ll collaborate with veterinarians, vet technicians and reception staff to deliver great client care.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service in person and over the phone.

• Manage stock, order processing, stock levels and restocking.
• Receive and unpack orders and operate a forklift as required.

Franklin Vets is a well-established veterinary practice supporting farming, lifestyle, equine and companion animal clients across South Auckland, North Waikato, the Coromandel and Hauraki Plains.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and capable Customer Service professional to join our Pukekohe team on a full-time basis. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be helping our clients get the products, services and support they need.

You'll be part of a busy and supportive team of veterinarians, vet technicians and customer service professionals, all working together to provide a great experience for our clients and a high standard of care for their animals.

What you'll be doing

• Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service both in person and over the phone
• Coordinating vet schedules, appointments and client requests
• Assisting clients with retail sales and product enquiries
• Managing stock, including ordering, monitoring stock levels and restocking
• Receiving and unpacking orders and using a forklift as required
• Supporting the wider clinic team to keep things running smoothly

What we're looking for

Ideally, you'll bring a background in farming or the rural sector, giving you a good understanding of our farming clients and the environment they work in. Knowledge of large animal products would be valuable, and equine knowledge or experience would be an advantage.

Just as importantly, you'll be warm and approachable, organised and confident dealing with a wide range of people. You'll be able to prioritise competing demands, stay calm when things get busy and enjoy being part of a team.

You'll need to be available to work weekdays as well as some Saturdays.
