Job summary

Auckland One Rail (AOR) is seeking a Fixed-Term Rollingstock Technician to support major improvement programmes across the EMU fleet. Working as part of a project team, you'll carry out planned modification and refurbishment activities to enhance reliability, safety and long-term performance of our trains.

You’ll be involved in a range of fleet improvement projects and planned engineering initiatives. The role operates Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, on a 12-month contract requiring a trade

Qualifications

  • Must hold a relevant trade qualification and have at least one year of relevant heavy vehicle, rail, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver major improvement programmes across Auckland One Rail's EMU fleet as part of a dedicated project team.
  • Carry out planned modification and refurbishment activities to enhance reliability, safety and long-term performance of trains.
  • Support day-to-day delivery of preventative maintenance to help maintain fleet availability.
  • Operate within standard hours Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm, to support project delivery and maintenance requirements.
