Job summary
Western Bay of Plenty District Council is seeking a calm, politically aware and highly capable leader to guide its Network Operations and Maintenance function. You will lead the team responsible for ensuring our roading network is safe, reliable, resilient and responsive to community needs, and work with senior leaders to shape maintenance programmes and contracts.

Qualifications
- At least ten years’ experience in road maintenance and/or construction.
- Strong asset management and contract management capability.
- Financial literacy and experience managing budgets.
- Interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Network Operations and Maintenance function for the roading network.
- Shape planned and reactive maintenance programmes and oversee contract delivery.
- Support Civil Defence readiness and respond to community needs.
- Coach, develop and support a high-trust team and collaborate with senior leaders.
