Job summary

Lotto NZ is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow our retail network and convert opportunities into lasting store partnerships across Aotearoa. You will connect commercial thinking with hands‑on delivery, guiding new outlets from first conversation to handover and ongoing support.

You will join our Retail Planning & Partnerships team, collaborating with Retail Knowledge, Partnerships and the wider Retail Performance group to balance growth with responsible gambling and customer needs.

Qualifications

• Relevant commercial experience in business development, retail network growth, account development, property or site acquisition, retail implementation or a related field.
• Track record of converting opportunities into results with a pipeline from prospecting to agreement.
• Strong commercial and analytical judgement using market insights and financial data.
• Excellent relationship and negotiation skills across multiple stakeholders.
• Practical implementation experience coordinating priorities and delivering handover.

Responsibilities

• Find opportunities that matter by using market, customer and network insights to target new retail locations.
• Turn potential into partnerships by building a pipeline and negotiating with retailers.
• Make new outlets a success with cross‑functional collaboration for a smooth handover.
• Lead or support rollout of new formats and self‑service tech in stores.
• Deliver responsible, sustainable growth balancing value with customer needs and compliance.
