Job summary

Mitre10 Hokitika is looking for experienced retail sales professionals with green fingers and a customer-focused attitude. Your gardening passion may come from time in your own backyard or horticultural training; either way you will enjoy helping customers select the right plants, along with all the dry goods and hardware, from fertilisers and pest control to gloves and a wheelbarrow.

In this role you will report to the Retail Manager.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Strong customer service and team collaboration.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in choosing plants and garden products.
• Maintain knowledge of stock including fertilisers, pest control, and tools.
• Contribute to a positive, helpful shopping experience.

Your gardening passion may come from time in your own backyard or you may have undertaken horticultural training – either way you will enjoy helping our customers select the right plants, along with all the dry goods and hardware, whether it’s fertilizers and pest control or gardening gloves and a wheelbarrow.

Previousretail experience and/or experience within this department will be viewed very favorably.

Theposition is 26 hours a week working Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday.
