Job summary

Mitre 10 Wainuiomata in New Zealand is seeking a full-time Garden Centre Team Member to join our knowledge-driven, friendly team. This hands-on, customer-facing role welcomes your passion for gardening and helping customers choose plants, fertilizers, tools and garden hardware.

You will keep the department well-presented, stocked and safe, deliver outstanding service in-store and after-sales, share knowledge of plants and garden products, assist with stock integrity, merchandising and displays,

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for customer service and sales.
• Strong knowledge of plants and garden products (preferred).
• Strong work ethic and team-focused mindset.
• Confidence using computers and learning new systems.
• Flexibility, attention to detail, and physical capability for manual handling.
• Health & Safety awareness.

We’re looking for a full-time Garden Centre Team Member to join our knowledgeable and friendly team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where your passion for gardening and people will shine.

You’ll be helping customers choose the right plants, fertilizers', tools, and garden hardware to suit their needs, while keeping the department well-presented, stocked, and safe.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Delivering outstanding in-store and after-sales customer service
• Sharing your knowledge of plants and garden products
• Assisting with stock integrity, merchandising, and displays
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
• Working collaboratively as part of a supportive team

What we’re looking for…

We’re seeking retail professionals with green fingers and a positive, can-do attitude. You’ll ideally bring:
