Mitre 10 Whangaparaoa is seeking a friendly garden-centre team member to assist customers with product selections and provide practical gardening advice. You will care for plants, replenish stock, and help maintain an inspiring, well-presented Garden Centre.
The role involves merchandising, seasonal displays, and sharing expertise with customers and colleagues, including weekend shifts as needed in a busy retail environment.

No two days are thesame. You'll spend your time assisting customers with product selection andproject advice, caring for plants and maintaining stock quality, merchandisingand replenishing stock, maintaining high standards throughout the department, supportingseasonal displays and promotions, and sharing your knowledge with customers andteam members.
We recognise thatgreat gardening expertise comes from many different backgrounds. You maycurrently work in a garden centre, nursery, landscaping business, horticulturalenvironment, irrigation supplier, trade merchant, or another specialistgarden-related role.
What matters most isyour ability to share your knowledge, build customer confidence, and helppeople find the right solution for their project. We're particularly interestedin candidates who bring specialist expertise in areas such as horticulture, plantcare, landscaping, hardscaping, irrigation, or outdoor power garden equipment.
We're seeking someone whose expertise can help shape the customer experience and strengthen the wider team. Previous experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting less experienced team members would be an advantage.
