Job summary

Mitre 10 Henderson is seeking an energetic Garden Centre Team Leader to join our store. You’ll lead from the front, mentor the team, share plant knowledge, and ensure customers leave with the right advice and product.

In this fast-paced, hands-on role you’ll manage stock, run displays, and deliver outstanding service. You’ll use handheld devices for inventory tasks, drive team performance, and maintain a safe, welcoming garden centre.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Garden Centre or Landscaping experience.
• Proven leadership and team supervision experience.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift and move stock.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Garden Centre team.
• Ensure customers receive correct advice and product.
• Assist with stock management and inventory control.

Whether you're recommending the perfect native shrubor helping load a bag of compost, you’ll be the go-to guru our customers trust.Think fast-paced, hands-on, and full of variety - no two days are the same!

What We’re Looking For:

You’re notjust a plant lover - you’re a people person, a proventeam leader. You'll bring:

• A deep-rooted love for plants andgardening (3+ years Garden Centre or Landscaping experience)
• Strong leadership skills withprevious experience supervising teams
• Top-tier customer service skills -friendly, helpful, and confident
• Physically fit and ready to roll upyour sleeves
• Great time management and ateam-first attitude
• Comfortable navigating moderntechnology and utilising handheld mobile devices to assist with inventorymanagement
