Job summary

Express Employment Professionals – Petone, North Island is seeking a part-time retail assistant to join our team promoting and selling outdoor living products.

The role is 3-4 days per week (Sunday to Tuesday, potentially 5 days in summer), 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, starting late September through early October, with a pay rate of $29.00 per hour plus 8% holiday pay and a friendly team environment. Retail experience with BBQs/heating products is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is preferred.
• Experience with BBQs and heating products is beneficial.
• Strong face-to-face customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deal with customers face to face and over the counter.
• Promoting and selling BBQs and heating products.
• Assisting customers, providing information and advice on these products.

Are you looking for a part time retail job? We're looking for an outgoing person who exudes customer service to join a team promoting and selling outdoor living products.

This is an ongoing part time job where the job is 3-4 days per week but may increase to 5 days over the summer months. Please note that working on a Sunday will be required as a rostered day working day. The role is expected to start end of September through to early October.

The role:

• Dealing with customers face to face and over the counter
• Promoting and selling BBQ's and heating products
• Assisting customers, providing information and advise on these products
• Sunday to Tuesdays however in the summer months, working days of the week may increase to 5 days
• Hours of work is 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

What you'll need to have:

• Retail experience and have worked with BBQ's and heating products is neccessary
• Fantastic face to face customer service skills, a great personality and a big friendly smile
• Not afraid to approach a customer to start a conversation
