Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga in Hawke’s Bay seeks a passionate facilitator for Te Pae Oranga to support case referrals from NZ Police to the iwi and community panels initiative. The role requires empathy, assertiveness, and the ability to connect with diverse communities.

You will work with the Team Manager and Coordinator, uphold tikanga and cultural competency, and use MS Office and client management systems to deliver outcomes for Māori whānau.

Formación

• Diploma in Social Work or relevant tertiary qualification, or at least 2 years of relevant on-the-job experience in community-based support.
• Understanding of restorative justice or the judicial system is advantageous.
• Current and valid Full Driver’s Licence.
• Strong case management and facilitation skills; able to connect with people from all walks of life.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate and support case referrals from NZ Police to Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga as part of the iwi and community panels initiative.
• Walk alongside victims, participants and whānau/support networks to achieve meaningful outcomes.
• Coordinate with the Te Pae Oranga Team Manager and Coordinator to ensure smooth case flow.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting using client management systems.
