Scenic Hotel Te Pania in Napier is seeking a full-time Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee daily service in the restaurant and coordinate with kitchen and bar staff. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure smooth operation during service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in F&B, a positive attitude and excellent verbal communication. LCQ and hospitality qualifications are a bonus; flexibility for mornings, evenings, and weekends is required.

Formación

• 2 years of relevant Food & Beverage experience.
• LCQ qualification and a relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality would be an advantage.
• Customer service focus and a positive attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Food & Beverage teams, ensuring staff understand tasks.
• Providing supervision, training and guidance to Food & Beverage Attendants.
• Greeting and seating guests, taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of the restaurant.
• Collecting payments and operating the POS system.
• Coordinating with kitchen and bar to maintain service flow and resolve issues.
• Assisting with additional duties from the F&B Manager or Hotel Manager.

• Hotel: Scenic Hotel Te Pania
• Location: 45 Marine Parade, Napier South, Napier 4110
• Employment Type: Full-time permanent position.
• Hours of Work: Guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week, rotating roster, including weekends.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of teams in the Food & Beverage department, including making sure team members understand their allocated tasks.
• Providing supervision, training and guidance to Food & Beverage Attendants.
• Greeting and seating guests. Taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Taking a proactive approach to sanitising and cleaning the restaurant.
• Collecting payments for sales and operating the point of sale system and cash register.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain service flow and resolve any operational issues.
• Assisting with any additional duties requested by the Food & Beverage Manager, or Hotel Manager.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 2 years of relevant Food & Beverage experience.
• An LCQ qualification and a relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality or related field would be an advantage.
• Customer service superstar!
• Positive can-do-attitude.
• Flexible in availability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
