Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown, part of Scenic Hotel Group, seeks a friendly Receptionist to welcome guests, handle check-in/out processes, answer inquiries and assist with reservations. This role requires a guest-first attitude, strong communication, and basic computer skills in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will work on a rotating roster with 40 hours per week, including mornings, evenings and weekends, ensuring smooth operations and a memorable guest experience in Queenstown.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a front office environment.
• Fluency in additional languages (Mandarin) would be advantageous.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in hospitality would be an advantage.
• Aptitude to learn new computer systems.
• Flexibile availability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Meeting and greeting guests and checking guests in and out, including verifying identification, processing payments, and issuing room keys.
• Assisting with reservations on a day-to-day basis.
• Handling phone calls and emails, taking messages, and responding to guest inquiries or concerns.
• Providing information on local attractions, dining, transportation, and other services.
• Handling guest complaints or escalating them to the appropriate department for resolution.
• Ensuring reception and public areas are clean and tidy.
• Performing administrative tasks such as receiving and sorting mail.

• Hotel: Scenic Suites & Heartland Hotel Queenstown
• Location: 27 Stanley Street, Queenstown 9300
• Employment Type: Full-time permanent position.
• Hours of Work: Guaranteed 40 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.
• Shift times: between 7:00am - 3:30pm and 2:30pm - 11:15pm
• Wage Rate: $26 -$28 per hour
