2COMS Consulting Pvt. Ltd. in Kaikōura is seeking an experienced Restaurant & Bar Duty Manager to lead the hotel dining operation ahead of the busy summer season.

You will oversee the restaurant and bar, motivate the team, ensure service excellence and hygiene standards, and engage with international guests. NZD 28–30 per hour, minimum 30 hours/week, relocation assistance and staff perks are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a senior restaurant, bar or hospitality management role
• Good spoken English and confident communication skills
• Experience managing a restaurant and bar and leading a team
• Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally
• Comfortable living in Kaikōura and working in a smaller, isolated location

About the role:

A restaurant attached to a hotel in Kaikōura is looking for an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to join their team ahead of the busy summer season.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who is confident managing a restaurant and bar, leading a team, and providing excellent service to international guests.

Requirements

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar
• Lead, support and give clear direction to the team
• Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and hygiene
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally
• Oversee responsible service and handling of alcohol
• Help ensure the restaurant and bar operate smoothly during busy periods
• Ideally 3+ years' experience in a senior restaurant, bar or hospitality management role
• Good spoken English and confident communication skills
• Comfortable leading a team and giving clear instructions
• Confident dealing with customers and resolving complaints
• Experience working with alcohol and managing a bar
• Mature, reliable and able to work independently
• Comfortable living and working in a smaller, more isolated location such as Kaikōura
