Job summary

Ryman Healthcare in Nelson is seeking a friendly Gardener for a casual role at Ernest Rutherford Retirement Village in Stoke Nelson NZ. You’ll join a team focused on creating welcoming, resort-style gardens for residents, their families and staff.

You should have prior gardening or landscaping experience, be reliable and detail-oriented, and enjoy working collaboratively. Shifts are Monday to Friday 0800-1630, offering variety from grounds maintenance to feature areas.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Gardener/Landscaper role.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Friendly, professional manner and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens and grounds to a resort-style standard for residents, families and staff.
• Service the grounds and gardens to ensure appearance and safety of all areas.
• Support colleagues and contribute to a varied environment (bowling green, water features, residential and shared areas).
