Job summary

New Plymouth Boys' High School is seeking an enthusiastic Resistant Materials / Spatial and Product Design Teacher for full-time, permanent appointment from Term 1, 2027. You will teach resistant materials or spatial and product design, or a combination, in a well-resourced Technology faculty with CNC, 3D printing and laser cutters.

The ideal candidate has CAD/CAM experience and a passion for design, making and inspiring students; substantial co-curricular involvement is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAD/CAM and design would be an advantage.
• Ability to teach resistant materials or spatial and product design.
• Significant co-curricular involvement is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach resistant materials and/or spatial and product design to secondary students.
• Inspire and motivate students to engage with design and making.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative technology teacher to join our highly successful technology faculty from the beginning of Term 1, 2027.

In this role, you will teach either resistant materials or spatial and product design, or a combination of both subjects.

This is an opportunity to join a well-resourced faculty with a strong focus on design and digital manufacture, including CNC machinery, 3D printers, and laser cutters.

The ideal candidate will bring a genuine passion for design, making, and inspiring students. Experience in CAD/CAM and design would be an advantage.

A significant co-curricular (i.e. academic/sport/culture) involvement is also a requirement.
