Job summary

Winton School in New Zealand is seeking an enthusiastic Certificated teacher to lead the hard materials technology program for Year 7–8 students. The role starts in Term 1, 2027 and sits within our well-resourced Technology block, recently upgraded to support hands-on design and problem-solving.

You will hold New Zealand Teacher Registration, have a passion for manual technology, and be able to engage students in working with wood, metal and electronics while maintaining strong safety practices

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the technology program to Year 7 and 8 students.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and energetic hard materials technology teacher to join our supportive team starting in Term 1, 2027. At Winton School, we pride ourselves on delivering a strong, hands-on curriculum that inspires students to design, create and problem-solve. Teaching in our well-resourced Technology block, which has recently undergone an upgrade, this rewarding position involves delivering our technology program to Year 7 and 8 students from both Winton School and local contributing schools.

Our ideal candidate will hold New Zealand Teacher Registration and have a passion for manual technology, sound knowledge of workshop health and safety and the ability to engage students in working with wood, metal and electronics. You will bring strong classroom management skills, an understanding of the design process and a collaborative mindset eager to contribute to our vibrant school community.
