Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation in Waihi, New Zealand, has a residential role for an Engineer - Maintenance (Reliability) to own asset strategies for the underground mobile fleet and drive reliability improvements.

You will work closely with the Underground Mobile Maintenance team to analyze performance, lead defect elimination, and enable data‑driven decisions. Attractive salary, bonuses, and a 9‑day fortnight lifestyle roster offered.

Qualifications

3+ years experience working with data.
3+ years experience in a maintenance reliability role in mining or related heavy industry.
Tertiary level Engineering qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead asset criticality assessments and mitigation strategies.
Develop maintenance strategies and tactics including maintenance intervals and spare holding requirements.
Build and align master data in Pronto (CMMS) to support the strategy, including asset registers, preventive maintenance tasks, and bills of materials.
Analyse performance data through both ad-hoc analysis and structured report building.
Lead structured defect elimination and continuous improvement initiatives to close performance gaps.
Proactively monitor asset condition and recommend corrective maintenance based on condition monitoring results.
Monitor and report on performance using fleet management and Pronto data.
Facilitate and lead Root Cause Analysis of losses or near misses.
