Meridian Energy is piloting residential solar and this is your chance to help shape it from the ground up. As our Residential Solar Sales Manager, you’ll help Kiwi households make the move to solar and help us design how we sell it.

This is a build-and-operate role: you’ll work hands-on with customers while putting your own stamp on how Meridian does residential solar. Join a team shaping New Zealand’s solar future, with a focus on scalable processes, customer experience, and cross-team

Qualifications

• Proven success selling residential solar and building or improving a solar sales process.
• Strong grasp of the solar customer journey from lead to proposal, sale and delivery.
• Experience with lead qualification, discovery, presenting solutions, follow-up and closing.
• Ability to explain technical and commercial details clearly with confidence.
• Customer-focused, commercially minded approach with strong relationship-building.

Responsibilities

• Sell solar customers can trust by qualifying leads and guiding from enquiry to yes.
• Build the playbook with sales stages, scripts, templates and communications.
• Shape a seamless customer journey across teams.
• Turn customer needs into the right solar solution with clear options.
• Support customers through installation and onboarding, and gather feedback.
• Use insights to shape a repeatable residential solar model for scale.
