Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced and reliable Mason to join our residential property development team. The role involves masonry work as well as coordinating and supervising different trades during house renovation projects.

You will read building plans, measure and set out brickwork, prepare surfaces, lay bricks and blocks, and supervise workers to ensure the work is safe, aligned and completed to the required standard across multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Masonry/bricklaying experience.

Responsibilities

• Read building plans and determine masonry work, materials and resources.
• Measure and set out brickwork with correct levels and alignment.
• Prepare work areas, foundations and surfaces for bricklaying.
• Lay bricks and blocks to construct and renovate walls and partitions.
• Coordinate and supervise trades during renovations and ensure correct sequence.
• Inspect completed masonry work for alignment, level and quality.
• Coordinate with tradespeople to keep projects on schedule and safe.
