Job summary

Hōhepa Hawke's Bay is seeking a House Manager for Tamariki Services in Hawke's Bay. You will provide leadership and management of house operations, ensuring child-centered services and safe, nurturing environments for Tamariki and Rangatahi.

The role requires experience in residential leadership within disability contexts, strong safeguarding knowledge, and a person-centred, strengths-based approach. Collaboration with whānau, teachers, specialists, and communities is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in residential leadership and management.
• Strong understanding of disability and shared care service standards, children’s rights, safeguarding, supported decision-making, and trauma-informed practice.
• Hands-on experience supporting children and young people with complex disabilities, high support needs, and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Overall leadership and management of house operations with a focus on providing child-centred services.
• Work in partnership with whānau, teachers, specialists and other professionals.
• Uphold safeguarding, rights and culturally responsive practices across Tamariki Services.
