Job summary

Hōhepa Hawke's Bay is seeking a House Manager for our Adult Services. You will lead the home, supervise a small Support Workers team, and ensure person-centred, high-quality support for adults with intellectual disabilities.

A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification and a full NZ driver’s licence are required. We value trauma-informed practice, cultural responsiveness, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a community-based intellectual disability setting.
• Have experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities.
• Hold a full NZ driver’s licence with no restrictions.
• Can establish and maintain clear professional boundaries.
• Bring a positive, respectful and encouraging approach to your work.
• A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to culturally responsive partnerships with Māori and Pasifika adults, whānau and communities.
• An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles and a willingness to learn, embrace and apply Hōhepa’s approach to Inclusive Social Development.
• An understanding of people management and health and safety responsibilities.

• Lead and manage the home and its day-to-day operations.
• Support, mentor and develop a small team of Support Workers.
• Ensure high-quality, person-centred support for adults with disabilities.
