Job summary

Tradestaff is seeking skilled painters for various residential and commercial projects across Southland, with potential work in Otago and Canterbury. The role offers a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week and opportunities for long-term assignments.

We require 3+ years’ painting experience or a trade qualification, plus two work references, and a strong commitment to Health and Safety. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and hold valid NZ work rights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of painting experience or a recognised trade qualification.
• 2 strong work references.
• 100% commitment to Health and Safety and able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• NZ work visa or rights to work in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Erect scaffolding and ladders and protect areas with drop sheets.
• Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper and filling cracks.
• Mix paints to required colours and apply paints, varnishes and stains.
• Hang wallpaper and match patterns as part of finished surfaces.
