Tradestaff is seeking skilled painters for various residential and commercial projects across Southland, with potential work in Otago and Canterbury. The role offers a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week and opportunities for long-term assignments.

We require 3+ years’ painting experience or a trade qualification, plus two work references, and a strong commitment to Health and Safety. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test and hold valid NZ work rights.

Responsabilidades

• Erect scaffolding and ladders and protect areas with drop sheets.
• Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper and filling cracks.
• Mix paints to required colours and apply paints, varnishes and stains.
• Hang wallpaper and match patterns as part of finished surfaces.

Are you a skilled painter looking for exciting opportunities? Look no further! Tradestaff are on the hunt for talented painters to join our team.

Southland will be your main region of work, however you may be required to work in Otago and Canterbury regions. This will be discussed with the successful applicant

We require experienced painters to work on a wide variety of residential and commercial developments.

Your tasks will include but not limited to;

• Erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
• Preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
• Selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
• Applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
• Hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges

Ideally, you will have:

• Minimum 3+ years experience and/or
• Trade Qualification
• At least contactable 2 work references
• 100% commitment to Health and Safety
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Valid current work visa or rights to work in NZ
• Proficiency in surface preparation and application techniques

Pay range $28 - $35 depending on experience
