Job summary

Canstaff is seeking experienced painters/decorators for permanent, full-time work in Levin, New Zealand. You will help with colour selection and prepare surfaces, providing accurate quotes and completing painting tasks on new housing developments. Occasionally you'll cut and hang wallpaper and decorative finishes.

You may erect scaffolding under 5 m, prep surfaces, and mix and apply paint. Requirements include color understanding, painting and decorating skills, health and safety awareness,

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating or willingness to enter the trade.
• Physically fit and able to work independently.
• Able to pass a drug test and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Fill holes, cracks and joins and prep surfaces before painting.
• Cut and hang wallpaper, vinyl and backing paper when required.
• Mix and apply paint and maintain paint finishes.
• Erect scaffolding (<5 m) as needed.
