Job summary

Holiday Inn Queenstown Remarkables Park is seeking a Reservations Supervisor to oversee the reservations team and deliver accurate information for both internal and external stakeholders. The role focuses on managing day-to-day operations, guest feedback, and group coordination with Meetings and Events.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years in Reservations or Front Office, strong hotel systems knowledge, budgeting and revenue management understanding, and excellent stakeholder communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hotel Management or related field.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in Reservations or Front Office.
  • Excellent ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties.
  • Understanding of Hotel Systems and revenue management.
  • Strong mathematical skills, budgeting, and P&L concepts.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic and tactical thinker with goal delivery.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Reservations Supervisor to join our team in a full-time permanent position.

Your day to day

As our Reservations Supervisor, you will provide accurate information on both the internal reservation situation and external climate within which the hotel operates. This role is responsible for helping to oversee the day-to-day operations of the reservations department.

Monitor guest feedback with regards to commercial strategy alongside help if a guest needs assistance with a request or complaint.

Manage groups with the Meetings and Events team.

Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about the hotels in the region.

Develop and maintain a good relationship with tour agents and operators.

Maintain and share knowledge of special rates, offers and promotions.

Ad-hoc duties – unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done, support the team and other hotel departments as required

What we need from you
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration or similar is desired.
  • One–two years’ experience in Reservations or Front Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
  • Comprehension of Hotel Systems and revenue management principles
  • Mathematical skills, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages and variances.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic and tactical thinker – ability to develop strategic plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets and deliver projects on time; strong reasoning and problem- solving skills.
