• Perform strategic market mapping to identify talent pools.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Research Consultant/Talent Manager to join one of our most respected clients, supporting a growing team of high performing search consultants. The ideal candidate will be familar with the New Zealand business landscape, an exceptional communicator who enjoys talking to the top of the food chain combining a polished professional apprpoach with a down-to-earth personality. You will have a naturally inquistive mind, strong anaalytical skills and the ability to enagge through teh various touch points of the process.

This full-time position is central to their exec recruitment team combining research expertise with talent management to identify, evaluate, and ring fence exceptional candidates based on the clients brief. You will be instrumental in peeling back the layers to expose the best possible candidates each time. Above all, we are looking for someone who is intellectually curious, commercially minded and capable of translating research into actionable intelligence that adds genenuine value to the process, culiminating in a profitable outcome. The role offers scope to manage one other and work alongside some real characters.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive research to identify and source potential candidates using various databases, professional networks, and recruitment platforms
• Screen, interview, and assess candidates to evaluate their skills, experience, and cultural fit with client organisations
• Work closely with executive search consultants in a an open and collaborative way
• Strategic market mapping

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in recruitment, talent management, or human resources, preferably within a recruitment agency or in-house talent acquisition function
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify high-quality candidates using multiple sourcing channels
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with proficiency in building relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency with recruitment platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and CRM software
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple candidate pipelines and placements simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
• A genuine passion for connecting talent with opportunity and supporting career development
• Desirable: Experience in market research, competitive intelligence, or talent analytics and/or recruitment
