Job summary

ACC New Zealand is seeking a Reporting Analyst in Wellington to join the People and Culture group. You will respond to data requests, deliver accurate workforce insights, and help evolve core data sets using Snowflake and Power BI.

The role reports to the Workforce Planning and Analytics Lead and is a fixed-term position until December 2027, with a salary in the NZD 90,000–100,000 range and a strong benefits package including a 9% superannuation and insurance options.

Qualifications

We have an excellent opportunity for a Reporting Analyst to join our People and Culture group. Reporting into the Workforce Planning and Analytics Lead, the Reporting Analyst will be responsible for responding to requests for people information, providing accurate, timely and fit for purpose data.

This will include assisting with reporting, working with key stakeholders to understand their data requirements and producing meaningful insights. You will also contribute to the ongoing development and enhancements of core data sets. Through your workforce analytics, reporting, Power BI and SQL expertise, you will help support data-driven decisions that contribute to keeping Kiwis safe at work, at home, and everywhere in between.

This is a fixed-term role until December 2027.

The appointing salary for this role is $90,000 - $100,000 based on experience. ACC offers a comprehensive benefits package which at present includes an advantageous superannuation scheme (9% contribution) with features like no mandatory employee contribution, optional life and income protection insurance.

Wellington is the preferred location.

You will bring:

  • Knowledge using Snowflake, including data modelling and scripting using SQL.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard design, data modelling, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience interrogating systems to find the correct information.
  • Ability to discover what data is available and relevant.
  • Experience working to tight timeframes and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with the tenacity to get the job done.
  • You must hold New Zealand work rights at the time of application.
