Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Remote Sourcing Specialist for a global logistics and supply chain provider. The role is fully remote and can be done from anywhere in South Africa.

You will identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers worldwide, negotiate contracts, and drive cost savings while ensuring supply chain resilience. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in SCM and 5+ years of experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and fluency with ERP systems and sourcing

About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding international logistics and supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Sourcing Specialist. This position is entirely Remote , allowing the successful candidate to work from any location within South Africa. The Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers globally, with a focus on securing competitive pricing and ensuring supply chain resilience. You will play a key role in expanding our client\'s supplier network and driving cost savings across various categories. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, Commerce, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, or procurement roles, with a strong international focus.
• Proven track record in global sourcing and negotiating complex contracts.
• In-depth understanding of supply chain dynamics and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, particularly in a virtual context.
• Proficiency in sourcing software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fully Remote environment.
• Experience in the logistics or supply chain services industry is highly desirable.
