Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a leading online learning platform to recruit a Senior Educational Psychologist for a fully remote role. The candidate will conduct remote psycho-educational assessments, design interventions, and provide tele-therapy to learners across educational levels, integrating psychological principles into digital course delivery.

Applicants should hold a Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology and HPCSA registration, with at least 7 years post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Educational Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Educational Psychologist.
• A minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in educational psychology.
• Proven experience in conducting remote assessments and providing tele-therapy or online counseling.
• Expertise in diagnosing and intervening with learning disabilities and developmental disorders.
• Strong understanding of online learning environments and the unique challenges they present.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adapted for remote interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote psycho-educational assessments and consultations to identify learning barriers and strengths.
• Develop and implement tailored intervention strategies to support students with academic challenges.
• Offer counseling and support services to students navigating online learning.
• Collaborate with online educators and instructional designers to integrate psychological principles into course design and delivery.
• Develop resources and workshops for students and educators on study habits, stress management, and cognitive enhancement.
• Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive case notes.
