Job summary

Scope Ophthalmics Ltd. is hiring a Sales Tax Specialist to join our US team, reporting to the CFO within the Finance group. The role focuses on all aspects of U.S. state and local sales and use tax compliance, nexus management, audits, and tax automation across 30+ jurisdictions.

Although remote, an East Coast location is preferred for optimal collaboration with our Europe-based team. Candidates should have 3–5 years of hands-on U.S. tax experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• CMI designation preferred or actively pursued.
• 3–5 years of hands-on US sales and use tax experience.
• Experience with tax automation platforms and SST compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returns.
• Support audits, respond to requests, and manage nexus.
• Collaborate with IT to maintain tax automation systems.
• Advise stakeholders on tax implications of transactions.
