Job summary

Kovalus Separation Solutions, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented part-time finance assistant to join our NZ-based team. This remote role focuses on invoices, payroll support, and day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, with 2–3 hours each weekday morning.

You will handle AP/AR, match invoices, assist with NZ and AU payroll, and maintain accurate records. The position offers long-term remote work from home, with a fixed-term may be extended, and requires independence, reliability, and strong

Qualifications

• Experience using Xero.
• Familiar with New Zealand payroll.
• Some knowledge of Australian payroll preferred.
• Accurate, organised and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently from home.
• Available to work 2–3 hours each weekday morning.
• Long-term part-time role; willing to commit beyond the initial 3-month fixed-term.

Responsibilities

• Enter and process supplier invoices and financial transactions
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Match invoices, purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Perform general finance data entry and filing
• Assist with New Zealand payroll administration
• Assist with timesheet and leave records
• Maintain accurate financial records in Xero
• Assist with bank and account reconciliations
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and documentation when required
• Provide general finance and administrative support
• Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as required
