Job summary
Placements24 is partnering with a national healthcare provider to hire a Lead Infection Control Specialist. This fully remote role focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring IPC strategies across virtual operations and partner facilities.
You will translate epidemiological principles into practical guidelines, lead remote training, advise on PPE, analyze infection data, and collaborate with IT to embed IPC in telehealth platforms.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, nursing, or related field.
- Current CIC certification is mandatory.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in infection prevention and control.
- Experience with healthcare informatics or telehealth is preferred.
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement IPC policies for remote healthcare delivery.
- Monitor infection rates and provide data-driven insights.
- Conduct virtual risk assessments of clinical workflows.
- Deliver remote training on IPC best practices.
- Advise on PPE use and sanitization protocols.
- Stay updated on infectious diseases and guidelines.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and IT to integrate IPC in telehealth.
- Investigate outbreaks and develop containment strategies.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on infection control.
