Job summary

Placements24 seeks a proactive Remote HR Generalist focused on Employee Relations to join a distributed team. You will handle employee concerns, conduct investigations, and ensure fair policy application across locations.

You will guide managers and staff on HR matters, mediate conflicts, and champion best practices in employee relations from a remote setting. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HR, deep knowledge of South African labor law (BCEA, LRA, EEA), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Psychology, or related field.
• 5+ years in HR with emphasis on employee relations and investigations.
• Strong knowledge of South African labor law: BCEA, LRA, EEA.
• Proven ability to conduct sensitive investigations with fairness and impartiality.
• Strong remote work discipline and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct thorough investigations into complaints and workplace issues.
• Provide expert advice to managers and employees on HR policies and labor law.
• Develop and deliver training on conflict resolution, diversity, and performance management.
• Collaborate with HR leadership to update policies and ensure compliance.
